This last week has been a heavy lifting week for me. I feel great when I'm in the middle of the workout, but I'm not feeling sore the next day or two. Can this be normal and not necessarily mean no growth, or should I be feeling it more?

Yes it is normal when lifting heavy, especially if it the weight was a sufficient amount different or you are working on different muscles.

Thank you for asking that zuke! I was thinking the same thing yesterday. I lift weights 5 days a week for about 45 minutes. I lift about 4 sets, weights heavy enough that it's hard to make the last rep, usually about 10-12 reps each set. My muscles burn while I'm doing the workout, but I'm NEVER sore afterwards. I was starting to think I was doing something wrong. Thanks Raven for clearing that up!

I'm the opposite of you guys. I am sore each and EVERY day of the week. Only relief is during my Satruday and Sunday off days, which usually means I go into monday as the only day of the week I am not sore!!

I always find I'm the sorest after trying something new. The first time I did jump squats I hurt for a week...now they don't effect me at all, even when i increase the intestity. I rarely hurt after BB squats or lunges, but the jump squats killed me!

Well, I spoke too soon. I HURT today. I do yoga 3 days a week in the evenings to increase flexibility, and honestly more for meditation than fitness even. So, my husband decided to do it with me for the first time. Well, my husband and I are very competitive, and I found myself stretching beyond my normal comfort level (although I didn't injure myself), and then he would stretch further, so I'd stretch further. When we were done (drenched in sweat and barely breathing) I said "Wow, wasn't that relaxing?!?" and he said "Yes, we should do that everyday!" I hope he didn't mean it because man, do I ever hurt today! :)
