Any reduction in calories will make you loose weight.........bowl of that cerial only has with milk maybe 3 to 400 calories x2 thats only 800calories from 2 meals........plus your dinner.....thats a big calorie reduction thats why you loose the weight. Its not the "magic" ceral. Same thing with the slim fast bars, gives you the few calories and vitimans you need just to get by.

it does work tho. i love red berries cereal but i imagine i would get sick of it eating it twice a day for 2 weeks. my friend tried it. she lost like 6 pounds. but she gained back like 4 afterwards.
i'm not a "dieting" fan. just eat proper and exercise i say.

exactly. fast diets yield fast and EXTREMELY temporary results. Get in to a lot of good habits and yield results that are permanent, thanks to your new found habits of self-control and knowledge of good diet.

What about "Special K ~ Bars" are they any good? or better question: In their caloric breakdown, it seems that there is a lot of sugar. Can someone explain Their contents a bit?
Ingredients:
Special k (rice, sugar, whole wheat gluten, wheat germ, milk ingrediants, salt, flour, malt flavouring, microcrystaline cellulose?, Thiamine hydrochloride, colour)
and
Sugar/glucose-fructose,
fruit pieces (Sugar, blueberry juice solids, cranberries, vegetable oil)
fructose
dextrose
hydrogenated vegetable oil
hydrogenated palm kernal oil
milk ingredients
natural and simulated flavour
glycerin
sorbitol
soya lecithin
calcium carbonate
salt
BHT?
It says there is only 1.8 g (fat) per bar, but the sugar looks really high...
Any comments on "value" and/or when to eat these (if at all)?
Thanks

Yeah, that's what I figgered. I openned one (the wrapper) and the log of crap in there was not impressive...covered in sugar icing... what are they thinking?
Oh, that's right...producers think consumers are idiots. Thank god for having someone to ask.

The best test is if it comes "ready to eat" in a box or a bag it's usually good to pass. Not only is there alot of useless calories but there is frequently a bunch of sugar involved.
The same often applies to the "low fat" claim. They gotta do somthing to make the crap taste good so "low fat " often means high sugar and salt
