i'm sure those of you that use splenda have looked at the nutrition info on the box...
serving size....1 tsp
calories....110
carbs....less than one????
well i looked all over the website to see how many carbs were in a cup of splenda ( I make kool-aid with it ). i eventually just called them and asked
there are 24 grams of carbs in a cup of the original splenda...not the half splenda have sugar stuff they just came out with.
so just thought i would share that for anyone that wanted to know...or assumed it was very little.

yup...i looked eveywhere on the site and called myself...the new 'splenda blend' has 96 grams of carbs in HALF a cup...but half a cup of splenda blend is supposed to equal 1 cup of sugar which has 192 grams of carbs...here's the site
check it out

I'm confused.
The packet of Slpenda I have says:
Calories 0
Fat 0
Less than 1g of carbs
"" of Sugar
Maybe because the packet is so small......?

yes mugie...we would need to figure out how many teaspoons are in a cup...then divide the 24 carbs by number of teaspoons...hang on i am going to go find out....
ok i just went and 'asked jeeves' (i love that site)
there are 48 teaspoons in a cup. so each packet of splenda has 1/2 a carb...not much but depending on how much you use in a day those 1/2 grams add up

The original splenda is 0 calorie 0 carb and measures cup for cup. The splenda blend is half splenda and half regular sugar and is to be used for baking so this type does have calories and carbs. The original splenda has no regular sugar in it.The bags look close to the same so you have to look at them.

i am sorry but you are incorrect. i research what i tell people before i post it. i called the 800 number and actually spoke to people at splenda. go to the website and see for yourself.
it says less than 1 gram of carbs. well when you have a whole cup, that's 48 teaspoons, there are 24 grams of carbs. each teaspoon has .5 grams of carbs. the new splenda for baking has 96 grams of carbs.

regular GRANULAR splenda DOES have calories. it has 110 per teaspoon. the splenda PACKETS claim to have no calories. not sure how that could be but anyway, go to their website
www.splenda.com and read it for yourself. it shows the different containers it comes and their nutrition labels. like i said before, it didn't say how many carbs were in a cup of GRANULAR not SPLENDA BLEND so i called and found out from customer service it was 24

i am sorry, i read something wrong...it has no calories..that was 110 servings...writing on my screen is small....anyway, that doesnt change the carb content

But it has to change the carb content because if there were no calories, then there couldn't be any carbs could there be?
