OK so I've been asking this question for a long time but I have always gotten different answers from people around me. After you grill chicken how long can you keep the extra pieces in the fridge before they are no longer good to eat? Same with boiled eggs, how long til they are no longer good? I have been going with 2 days for a long time. But I would love to hear that I can keep them for 4 or 5 days. I would grill 10 at a time instead of just 4 or 5 if I could keep them in the fridge for that long. Any input?

bb1 has a post about how long you can keep stuff in this forum...the eggs I don't now..but you could freeze the chicken.Take it out in the morning...will thaw by lunch. You can heat it in the bag so it doesn't dry out.I freeze all of my stuff for the week.

I guess I never even thought of refreezing it. Wow can't believe that never even crossed my mind. Thanks! As for the eggs though I notice they don't even taste the same after a day so I'm thinking I should probably just keep boiling them whenever I need them. I'll check out the other post. Thanks again.

i keep an eye out for the marked down lean ground beef. sometimes you can get it for as cheap as $1/pound. then i bring it home and make hamburger patties and freeze them, and the rest i brown in a skillet and freeze in a tupperware container for making things like tacos meat, sloppy joes, rice and ground beef, etc.

Hardboiled eggs can last for a week or more in the fridge. Most likely what you are tasting is in your mind LOL. We americans have it beaten into our minds that we need to have things made to order all the time. I have safely eaten hardboiled eggs 1.5 weeks after I made them. Good luck!

A great trick with hard boiled eggs is to remove the shells right after you cook and cool them. Then put the peeled eggs into a container and refridgerate. They easily last a week. This way you can just grab one and your good to go. I usually boil up about 8 of them (place eggs in cold water, bring water to boil, turn off heat, cover with lid and let sit for 15 min., run cold water over eggs to cool, remove shells, refridgerate....perfect eggs every time!) The bonus of this is there's no guessing which eggs in your fridge are hard boiled or un cooked:)

Even if you are on the right track, you will get run over if you just sit there.

Fly--good idea. I thought of doing that. I usually boil up a bunch but keep them in the shells thinking they would stay fresher in their airtight packages. But I'm sure I eat the eggs well before I need to worry about them going bad anyway.

As as kid I remember eating Easter eggs for days afterward. And they were kept out on display for at least a day before they went back into the refrigerator.

little fact for you here haha.
boiled eggs take on and strong flavours or smells in your fridge the boiled/ raw egg will absorb it and take on some of the flavour.

The easy way to tell the difference between a boiled egg and a raw egg is spin them. The boiled egg will spin alot while the raw egg will just spin a few times
