I know this is gonna sound lame, but I added squats to my workout for the first time in years.
Question: After the first set when my muscles are getting tired, I feel them twitching. It is only when I am near the top. As soon as I start back down or almost lock out it stops. Is this normal or should I back off a bit.

This is natural. Do you feel any sort of pain?

Squat kills....... This is the exercise the most terrifying and geniuos you'd ever find.
Give your poor muscles time enough to get use to it.

In my opinion SQUATS are the Best exercise out there...
By doing Squats u can gain muscle in all ur body parts not just legs... havent u heard?... "work ur legs to get big bicepts...."
Do SQUATS till u passout... if u have energy do ur faivorit calf exercise... Keep doin this and u'll look in to it...
::SEANYBOY:: PS. Ask the biggest guy at ur gym to show u the PROPER way of doin squats *just to be sure(even if u know how to do it)

I am pretty sure that I am doing squats with the proper form. I do not see many people doing squats in my gym and when I do see them I just laugh. Such bad form and/or short range of motion, but 300+ pounds on the bar.

The short range is great, LOL down like 3 inches and right back up with like wayyyyy to much weight! The super terrific bad form squat!

I would rather see results in myself by lifting lower weights than to show off so people think I am stronger than I really am. You have to start off somewhere and I don't plan on wasting my time or hurting my body. You only have one body for life....take care of it.

I AGREE BUT DONT FOREGET
"IF you dont push ur body to its max it wont happen..."
our legs have very big muscles and can handle alot of weight... more than what we think... if u are having a good form and have a good workout partner increasing the weight can have great results.... now shut up and squat
