I posted this msg in the new members area, but this seems like a more proper place to post it. Here's my question. I'm 200 pounds and 6 ft tall, but only 14 years old. I want to take up body building, am I too young? Or does my size make it alright? I have access to free weights and machines.

There's no need to post your question twice.

You are in no way too young to start bodybuilding. I say go for it!! You are at a good growing age. YOu can do nothing but improve your physiqe. Bodybuilding can be a lifelong process. And the health benefits of the lifestyle are something you will have the rest of your life.

yea not just bodying building but moderate weightlifting that i have read in articles are actually GOOD for children. It improves phsyique and strength in kids and prevents them from having bone loss in the future (this is what I read) kids 8-10 should be just focusing on the correct form and not to much tention....then as you get in 10-12 age start developing a program with high reps and lower weights, and you develop your phsyique and go through your growth spurt, and article said that if you lift weights during ur growth spurt it will benifit your muscle growing even more. (during puberty you develop about over 30% of your muscle and bone mass)
sooo yea lol do what bb1fit says cuz im not as smart as him lol but i just got some info ta back it up;) good luckie
