I was recently ill and am recovering, I lost a lot of weight including muscle. Right now im trying to bulk back up, and was wondering if it was better to lift muscle groups only once a week, as of right now im lifting them twice. If anyone could list their program that would be a great help. I was also wondering what are the best foods to be eating, and when to eat them, particularly after and before workouts to get the most from them. Thank you Jerald
You used to weight train? and you have stopped for how long?
My advice would be to "wake up" your muscles again with some circuit training (or work each muscle twice a week but with moderate weight) for around 4 weeks and then go back to heavy lifting and once a week.
