Wish there was some magical phrase but there isn't...motivation comes from within. It comes in many different forms, from simply wanting to better yourself, to having to do it for health reasons. This is something you need to find on your own. Maybe rty to remember what it was in the past. Good luck rocky and welcome to FT!!! Also take a minute to fill out your profile so people know more about you and your goals.

Welcome to FT rocky70! I bet the workout routine is your problem. I had a really difficult time to stay motivated before I came to this site. Even though I had prior fitness knowledge, things change all the time and if you don't keep up you end up in a rutt. Try the exercise programs on this site and read lots of threads, there is soooo much excellent info here and all the support you need. YOU CAN GET BACK INTO IT!!! I did:big_smile:

Hi! I know exactly how you feel, because I've been there too. There were 2 things that helped me - finding a friend to get fit with AND joining a gym instead of trying to do it at home.

For me, trying to fit it in at home just didn't work because there was always something to be done around here that I would use as an excuse. If you physically go to the gym a few times a week, you don't have anything to do there but exercise! :)

I've also made some nice friends at the gym, and in a way that motivates me to go because I like to talk to them. I hope this helps and good luck!
