I have been asthmatic all of my life, and have had to take steroids for it...I am a fire fighter and hopeing to compete in bodybuiding in the future...will the taking of theses steroids disqualify me from either activity?

probably not. the steroids that are taken for something like asthma are usually corticosteroids; they are not analbolic steriods. two different drugs all together. the reason they are both classified as "steroids," like several other drugs, are because they both are synthetic productions of chemicals that your body makes naturally.

i've been an asthmatic all my life as well, and also competed in one of the strictest drug testing agencies in the world, and i never had a problem.

and in addition.. if you feel like competing just be sure not to enter a 'natural' show.. good luck!
