I use belt down the gym, but it has started to hum somewhat. I have got a second belt now and alternate between them do they each get day “rest” on the radiator to dry out. But the old belt still stinks within 10min of wearing it. I tried boiling water and fabreeze the odour returns once I start to train again. Has anyone got any suggestions, as I don’t want to just ditch a good belt because it smells?

I'm assuming that it is a leather belt?? If it is, what I suggest is getting some good leather cleaner and conditioner (like what you would find at a leather store), and follow the instructions verbatim. Hopefully, that will help...

Try putting it in a plastic bag with Borax over night .Brush off hte excess in the morning and it is good to go. It will remove the excess moister and is very effective at removing odors. I don't know too much about training belts but, it worked wonders on my leather drill boots in college. Hope this helps . - Bree

Try tea tree oil diluted with water and spray the thing down, then wipe it dry. The tea tree has a natural disinfectant in it that kills bacteria ect, probably the source of the smell.
