I have been having stomach aches and sort of heartburn and I think it might be from sugar. Has anyone else ever had this problem?

Never heard of sugar causing heartburn. That's not saying much though. I would examine my diet. If you are concerned about sugar, eliminate it or limit it for a few days and see what happens. If it can't be isolated that way you might need to see a physician for a check-up.

Yes, I suffer from acid reflux due to sugar consumption. CUT THE SUGAR OUT AND SAVE IT FOR TAKING AFTER YOUR WORKOUTS. Try to cut it down and the heartburn will begin to go away. Acidic foods give heartburn as well.

No shit. Sugar-acid reflux. I've had GERD's for years. Controlled with Prilosec 40 mg per day. Never heard about the sugar link. It shouldn't surprise me though. Without meds ANYTHING would cause heartburn. With meds I can eat anything.

Yup, it's a real thing. Maybe it is natures way of telling us to stay away from the Krispy Kremes.....ya think? I get it too, but usually pop a few tums and it goes away. And of course jdelts is absolutlely right....we should STAY AWAY FROM SUGAR!

I thought it was my coffee giving me constant heartburn til I read on here something about Whey Protein causing gas...so I stopped it, and it stopped. I'm thinking to go buy some soy protein now (I used to use that and never had a problem). *sigh* Heartburn sucks.
