Well recently my aim was to get bigger put on abit of muscle mass, but recently have been doing this program and im on a transition phase, then i start a 6 week strength program, but i think i wud rather be stronger for my size then bigger. What would everyone else prefer to look big or to lift big?

I think most of us would prefer mass, unless we were into powerlifting.

I'd prefer to have the mass.

I'd prefer mass, but like most others I'm going for both as well.

See i would like to be one of the persons where everyone would look at the gym or woteva see a stack of weights and think theres no chance he would that but then obvisouly it would be lifted. During the strength period what sets and reps will i be looking at and also with a good protein diet this would surely still put some extra muscle mass on?

keep reps under 5......for major lifts...dls, squats, bench, militaries...........kep the secondaries around 6-10.........rows, tricep extensions, pul ups, back gypers...abbs etc.

if yoru going for "strength" thats what your going for not mass, you may put on 2-3 lbs just cause your body not used to this training style........but you can be strong and not be big.......I mean menance is only about 200lbs...and he can dl 3 times his weight..........i'm 263 and can only do about 2 times my weight.

So strength is not directly related to "mass" at all.

another example.........saw a guy in mag dl 520 somthing......at 150lbs......

Also - look into Pavel Tsatsouline's Power to the People - he trains for strength and power without size, if that is your goal.

What? 150 doing 520? What's the exercise you're going by? Squat or bench? It can't be bench.

I train for strength. But as bb1fit said, I am into powerlifting and wrestling.
