Just heard the tail-end of a report on the news about a "health club" somewhere in the Mid-West that offers a cardio class called "Stripping 101," where the cardio is teaching how to properly strip tease.

I don't even want to know........

(By the way, I deleted the first message since it just didn't sound right...LOL!)

I've heard about them here in L.A.
I'm not surprised...I saw an episode of Less than Perfect, the 2 main characters of the show signed up for strip teasing classes.

I'm not surprised either. If you can eat sushi off of a half-naked woman, why not strip teasing classes?

But what type of people are doing the classes? Think about it.... it's a lot like a bad car accident: you know you shouldn't look, but you just have to......ugh!

I think the only people taking these classes are girls who are aspiring strippers. That or girls who are just curious beings.
Who can take it serious? Really.

I agree with rev. However, if I happened to walk by one of those places I would definately have to go in and check it out. You know, research!

What will it be? A room full of poles, 'Girls,Girls,Girls' by Motley playing, and everyone else drinking. Maybe it will be the only exercise class where people will leave with more money than the cost of the class

You hear and see anything these days don't you. You know, there could be an "all guys class". Um, now that maybe interesting. I wonder if the Chippendales takes these classes? I can see a room full of poles and "Real Good Man" by Tim McGraw playing!!!! Sounds good to me. LOL Oh but to fantasize.

Oh come on guys! I think that it would be fun. It's probably a lot more fun than an aerobics class! Besides, dancing is a great workout! (and no, I'm not a stripper.....though I may have to look into it if the whole higher education thing doesn't pan out!)

Would you believe that I was watching my local news last night and they had a small feature on "Stripping 101". It was an exercise class that did all of the stripper dance moves ( poles and all ) but they did leave their clothes on. Amazingly more than half of the class was already in fine shape and looked like they deserved a few bucks. The funny thing was the class had glass walls so there were several people looking on. Halfpint, sorry but they were all females in the class. When they interviewed a boyfriend of one of the woman, he was all for the class. Who would have guessed that

Just think - your woman comes home after working out and practicing stripping?!?! What's next? The actual show ;-)

I would bet it's more women who want to practice getting their groove on ;-)

Does anyone watch Sharon Osbourne's show? Carmen Electra was on there touting her workout video that teaches 'lap dance' moves. I'd say be careful trying it if your hubby's home, the workout you get may not be the one on the TV screen <wink>.

(I'm having trouble believing you men are actually complaining about this and not trying to get your wives/girlfriends to sign up)

No complaints from me other than they don't have those classes in the gyms near home!

rpacheco, you are right. Guys and poles in the same room do not go to well together. I didn't even think about what I was saying. HA!!!! Whoa, that could have been bad.
Okay, we will stick to the girl thing. Maybe I'll check into taking those classes. Yeah right!!!

noun. A native or inhabitant of Poland.

no just kidding...

but it is a noun: A long, relatively slender, generally rounded piece of wood or other material. In this case metal.

Yo Jack! No problem...

Pole /noun/:

1. Someone from Poland.
2. Axis around which something rotates (like a globe).
3. Something a fireman slides down.
4. Something an exotic dancer may use as a prop (umm, I'm told), sometimes rotating around it (see definition #2), sliding up and down on it (see definition #4), or simply hanging onto it for stability (possibly due to being top-heavy, wearing high heels, and fighting the effects of gravity). Irony: If the exotic dancer also happens to be from Poland (see definition # 1).

Boy, I had a brainstorm.....have a gym and combine this program with the "boob aerobics" they have in England, and you will draw a crowd fit for a football stadium!

Anyone read that post I made a while back on boob aerobics? Not a joke....

Ok, bb1fit, how do you do "boob aerobics"? Is it to help strenghten them, firm them or what??

Couldn't resist posting this one,
Wonder if this works for the pectorals for men too? hehe. Boob Aerobics

LONDON GYM OFFERS BOOB AEROBICS

A London gym has launched a new fitness class that claims to increase the size of female members' busts.

Boob Aerobics has been devised by Richard Hilton, the owner of Gymbox in Holborn.

He claims the three-step process will increase breast measurements by at least two inches and one cup size after just eight classes.

Participants must take part in a range of moves including major pectoral exercises, bench presses and anterior raises

Mr Hilton said: "The Boob Aerobics class means that there are now alternative ways for a girl to get the bust of her dreams.

"It's about sweat not surgery, and this new fitness regime is certainly proving popular with many of our female members for whom the breasts are an important focus of their exercise routine."
