Hey I am going on a business trip to Dallas/Ft. Worth. I have never been outside the airport in Texas. Does anybody know of anything interesting I should see while down there?

ASK ME ASK ME!!
i grew up there, there is a ton of stuff to do. are you staying in dallas or ft. worth? in dallas there is lower greenville and also deep ellum if you're into the hip, non-honky tonk kind of scene. i highly recommend monicas aca y alla in deep ellum. excellent margaritas.
in ft. worth, there are a lot of cool places downtown, like the flying saucer and 8.0, you can also find cool stuff around the tcu area but it depends on what you're looking for.
this is the tip of the iceberg, i can give you a million suggestions, most of them in dallas. growing up in ft. worth i was always trying to get out of there, not stick around on the weekends. anyway, just let me know where you'll be and i'll tell you what there is to do!

I am staying in Carrollton. There is a Gold's Gym 20 min away in Dallas so at least I will be able to work out. I will be down there by myself so I don't know that I will be going out drinking. Not really sure what I would like to do, just seeing if there were some suggestions for must do's while in Texas.

hmmm, dallas is not really a "touristy" kind of place. there is always, of course, the sixth-floor museum and the grassy knoll. jfk assassination attractions are pretty much all the city offers. you could catch a rangers' game in arlington, otherwise, the main attraction will be the stockyards in downtown ft. worth and i don't recommend doing that alone. no fun. one thing that i am really into is museums, and ft. worth has 2 amazing ones - the kimball art musem and the modern. the kimball has an excellent collection on top of being an architectual masterpiece. the modern is just fun to go to. there is also the arboretum in dallas but it's kinda girly. i don't even really like going there, but it's pretty. i will try to think of some more stuff, i should be good at it considering i lived there for 22 years...

im still living here, i should be able to come up with something. Uhh...carrollton...thats about 7minutes from where i live...you could probably dart up to frisco to see a rough riders game (minor league...its fun because they play for the love of the game still)
uhm if you're into shopping they're is an abundance of malls and crap like that in the area.
howdie is right about the museums and such. there's stuff in arlington if you like amusement parks and you have a friend to go with etc....uh....theres almost always an improv club or a concert goin on somewhere
