Okay, so I should know this by now but........... early morning is the only time I have to work-out. I know I should be consuming some protein before I begin, though I haven't....:surprised: Anyway, I start my workout within 15 minutes of rising. Do I need to have some protein and wait longer before working out, or is this fine? How will it affect my PWO meal? I don't want to overload on the calories since I'm trying to shed fat.

I used to get up and have a whey protein shake made with water while I got ready to work out. It didn't weigh (whey, ha ha) me down and Yet I had some protein in my system to help prevent muscle loss.
Your PWO meal should still have some quick carbs in it. When you are trying to lose weight you don't want to cut your calories too drastically.
