Hi everyone,
I am new at this fitness thing and have questions about supplementing my diet. I have grasped the concept about protien and taking in 1g for every 1# body wieght. I have purchased Premier Nutrition Protein bars at Costco, are these ok to use? They have 31g of protein per bar and I eat one each work break then before and after I go to the gym. Is this to much, to little or should I have more of a sorce varity? I am single, work full time and go to school part time plus church comitments leave little time for cooking to get protien.
I have also purchased some EAS High Performance Creatine. I have been taking that in the morning before work and after I come home from the gym. What is this about loading dose?
Should I use a different kind of Creatine?
Is there any other supplement I should be using?
I am 165# and just want to loose some weight and tone up. Could using this stuff to much work against me and make me gain weight?
Like I mentioned above, I don't have alot of time for cooking and I also have limited funds.
Thank you so much for your help.
Have a great day.

As a beginner, you really don't need to start with supplements. Adopt a sound diet and exercise program, and see where that will take you. If anything, a good multi-vitamin should be good enough.

Good luck!

Much as rpacheco says, most of what you are asking about you really don't need yet. Especially the creatine, and even more so if you are trying to lose weight as you stated. Examine your diet, change it as needed, and forget about supps for the time being. Give yourself an 8 week period for your body to adjust normally. In that time, if your diet is good and you are training hard, you will see great results without the added supplements, and the cost. Good luck to you....
