Mutt, you sound grumpy... :)
Kidding man. I used to be big into college hoops but not anymore, so I agree with you. -------------- --JBennett "I've up-ed my intensity.... now up yours!" "Pain is only weakness leaving the body." "Never think of how weak you are; think of how strong you're going to be." |

I have no idea what you're talking about, but Chelsea take on Tottenham in the replay of the FA cup so that will be proper men playing a proper man's game.

Bah you crazy colonials, what about cricket? Hmmm? Or rugby? Games with history and tradition and cucumber sandwiches and polite applause (or drunken roaring for rugger I suppose).
Oh and FYI, Chelsea won, 2-1 great second half it could have gone to extra time... ah well. |

It's not about the 30 second attention span, fit it all in between the commercials mentality. it's about appreciating the ebb and flow of the game, the work in midfield to put the strikers in position, the chances, the morale. American football certainly has it's place, but I can't stand all the stopping and starting. It's bad enough watching NHL (which I love) so think hockey over a bigger pitch in terms of tactics.
Have you watched a game of rugby? |

hockey and soccer are the same sports just on different surfaces.
The starting and stopping is better than the continued effort of accomplishing nothing in soccer and hockey where a team can build an insurmountable lead at 1-0. Just giving you a hard time from acorss the pond. As for rugby, it is better but we do not get alot of exposure to that in the states |

This year our girls team was predicted to go to the sweet 16...alas they fell to marist.
I hope the preds do well in the play offs this year. Last time I went to a fight, and a hockey game broke out:) -------------- It's called a SQUAT rack for a reason..... You have to learn to follow, before you can lead. |
