If I feel snacking after lunch or dinner I have simple water with some light flavor.... menthol, lemon.... (it feels up the tummy)
Or you can take a chewinggum (without sugar)!

Yogurt (flavored, like strawberry or cherry or something) helps quench my sugar tooth a little...

Chewing gum does help, but not all the time=)...sometimes you just *really* want something to chew and swallow, but many times, you can fool yourself by chewing the gum...

If you want candy, be careful about which ones you choose... i used to think that if it wasn't chocolate, that it wouldn't have a lot of fat or calories in it, but i was wrong;)... starbursts and other fruit flavored candies like it actually have a lot of calories... sugar free candy is a good suggestion though...

Flavored jello with fat-free cool whip is good too...

Sometimes though, after you've distracted yourself from your sugar-craving for awhile, i would suggest letting yourself have a little bit of sugar. I found that when I constantly (for a long period of time) don't allow myself to eat any sugar when I have a craving for it, at my next craving, I usually end up consuming way more sugar than I would have if I had just let myself have one little piece of sugar now and then!

Be careful with the sugar free candy, they can upset your stomach and give you really bad gas if you have too much. When my "sweet tooth" come up I usually have a protein shake or I'll find something to do that will take my mind off it.

Hmmmmmm I WISH we had sugar free candy here in France just like you in the States...... AND I would sooooo much like to taste all your jellos as well!!!!!

I got a terrible sweet tooth as well and when I do eat candies it's with all the baaaad sugar!! (and then I have to do hours of cardio and protein shakes instead of real meals for four days!!! lol ;o) Hmmmm everything has it's price huh?!!!
