I've been working out consistantly for about a year now and made some significant gains. However, in about 5 months I'll be traveling for work and realistically I probably won't be able to hit the gym for at least a month and half. Is there anything I can do to make sure I don't lose the progress I've made? I'm not worried about gaining weight, just losing muscle.

Push ups and sit ups are alwyas good, but if you go to muscle and fittness.com or mens health and fitness, they usually have great articles about routines you can do if you dont have alot of time, a gym, or weights. Keep a good diet, and do some basic movements especially push ups. a month and ahlf is pretty long though... maybe you can find some dumbells to keep with you, or a rubber band. I used a rubber band on a vacation and it worked great. i think you can buy them at like fitness stores and stuff... hope that kinda gives you some ideas...

when you do push-ups, put your feet on a chair -that makes it a lot more difficult

I also travel often. I always check to see if there is a gym near where I am staying - or the the other way around - a hotel near a gym. Most hotel gyms are about worthless. But for $5 to $20 you can use local gyms. I'm a member of Gold's which allows use of gyms nationwide and has pretty good coverage.
When my associates head to the bar, I head to the gym.
