Target Calories Too High?

2006/07/14, 06:55 PM
Hey Everyone,
I searched on here to see if anybody else had this question but couldn't find it. So sorry if I missed it:(

Anyway, I'm wanting to lose about 25lbs (depending on how much muscle I gain), and I'm trying my hardest to stick to the freetrainers nutrition guidelines but I find that I don't eat the recommended amount of carbs or calories in a day but I'm eating too much fat. I'm cutting back on the fat but does anybody know if the target calories are high for someone trying to lose weight?

My target is like 2200 approx and I'm 5'6" 169 lbs. I have some good muscle mass in my legs but need to lose belly fat and stuff.

Thanks!! :)

About 10-12 cal. per lb. is an ideal place in most cases, but real world circumstances will come in to play. I would suggest trying to lose weight your calorie range be from 1690-2028 on the high end. If your energy expenditure is adequate, you should see nice results. Be aware, sticking to the plan even when it seems like it isn't working is critical to its success. Many folks see no results for a matter of weeks, and then it is like whoosh, so keep full steam ahead.
