Yo Joemil,
Welcome to FT. I'm gonna give you similar advice that I just gave Jared...
It's sometimes difficult to know when to push yourself harder and when to ease up. It's okay to push yourself, but be sure you have all your ducks in a row first.
My advice:
(1) See a doctor to make sure everything is okay. Follow your Dr.'s advice as far as rehabilitation instructions (i.e., no workouts for a while, light workouts for a while, whatever). It might be tendonitis - it might not be. Be sure. Be safe.
(2) Work on your exercise form. There are lots of resources online. Excellent exercise form is your best defense against injuries in the future. Make sure you don't hyper-extend the elbows when doing arm work.
(3) Warmup and stretch before, after, and even during your workout. Proper warmup and stretching are extremely important in preventing muscle injuries. I find that this is especially important as we age, but it should always be included, regardless of age.
(4) Finally, examine your nutrition. Make sure everything is in order. If you're pushing yourself really hard, your nutrition must be impeccable.
(5) And fill out your profile. Let us know more about your training program, your diet and your goals. This will help others on FT to better help you!
Good luck with your goals, Joemil. See a Dr. about the elbow.
