I fell into the diet fad that started out about 2.5 months ago That wasn't ideal at all. But over time and with help from this website and all in the know I have really customized my diet and exercise for the better! I joined the YMCA 2 months ago along with my wife and it has been a joint effort on both of our parts to keep eachother going. I've never been much of an athlete, always finished last in anything physical in high school. Now i'm 30 and only 2 months into my workout and "diet" (not really diet but lifestyle change) and I feel better and can do everything with less effort. Total I've lost about 26 pounds going from 192 to 166. The first day I went to the YMCA I tried to run a mile just to see where I was at... well I made it 4/10ths of a mile and couldn't breathe. a few weeks ago I ran a 7:03 mile and that was after 30 mins of cardio. I have been doing some light lifting every other day up until about a week ago. Now I started a more serious lifting routine(saw the potential in the mirror!!) and now I'm doing upper/lower body split with machines and free weights, and cardio on separate days. I would have to say that 75% of my knowledge has come from the people on this website, the rest is from my wife and the YMCA(they are great there). I cannot end my day without going to the Y and working out it just dosn't seem right anymore and I absolutely love it!! Oh. and my wife is doing great with everything also, and looking better everyday. Thank you to everyone here, and thank you for taking the time to make peoples lives better ( me included). To anyone just starting out stick with it will become a good habbit and all the pain in the beginning is well worth it. Special thanks to BB1 for very informative posts and time taken to write them. I will keep everyone informed on our progress.

Thank you!!!
