If I had to place a big bet on who'll be in the Finals I'd say Tampa Bay and San Jose.
If it was a bet I could afford to lose I'd bet on my guys, they're definitely worth a gamble. I'm very excited about tonights game..:big_smile:GO WINGS!!!!!:big_smile: We need some of the energy here in Detroit that you guys have in Calgary.. what a vibe coming from the Saddledome the other night! -------------- : ] ~Danielle Action may not always bring happiness, but there is no happiness without action. ~Benjamin Disraeli |

Too bad.. you missed your last win!:laugh:
Seriously though it was a tough loss.. the Wings made some coverage mistakes that cost the game. We'll see if we can come back, Flames definitely have some momentum. ============ Quoting from TimDay: Missed the game the other night... BUT, I WILL be tuning in tonight! |

The riot squad will be out in full force tonight at the Bell center. I was around there earlier and the streets are already starting to close! Montrealers are strange, win or lose they wreck the streets!
But Montreal will be dumping Tampa, tonight is the begining of the end for them!:big_smile::big_smile::big_smile::big_smile: -------------- "A will finds a way, failure is not an option" Ivan carivan@freetrainers.com Montreal Canada |

Well... it was a very good game... no matter which side had scored the winning goal (better it was the Flames :big_smile:;)) but still, a damn good game.... I think I was nearing heart failure a couple of times...!

I can't STAND no-scoring games, the tension and pressure just keeps building, then when you lose you want to go beat something up.
Only it's 2 in the morning, the gyms closed, the dog's hiding under the bed because I'm yelling and screaming at the TV, and ... awww forget it. I will say this .. whoever beats us better go on to win the cup, go get those San Hosers! |

What a game baby! Roenick on the 2 on 1 break takes the shot glove side and scores! How exciting. Now we got to play Tampa. They beat us 4 times this year. Dont you love people like me who say "us"? The theory is neither team wins at home, which, after last night, continues to be true... so, if we follow that theory and if you believe in that kinda stuff the Flames WILL win the series... game six tomorrow night in Calgary and game seven in San Jose Friday... either way... good series!

Man, I hate to say it (Canadians need not apply:big_smile:) but this is the MOST dis-interesting NHL playoffs I think I have ever seen. Hopefully, Philly wins. And with talks of a lockout, the NHL may lose what little popularity it has.

I LOVE hockey and football, my husband is a non-sports person and we moved 1200 miles from my favorite teams so I miss going to the games and he fights me for the remote should I ever want to view a game, but I have a lot of great memories! My son as a mini-mite played during the intermission of one of the Minnesota North Stars games, it was a hoot, the player in front of him fell forward at the waist and my son hadn't gotten the stopping down yet and ended up like leap frog on top of this poor boy, my son's feet wouldn't touch the ground as he tried to wriggle off and they were stuck there like fighting turtles for what seemed like an eternity! The North Stars left Minnesota and the frigid cold up there was wasted! I am a avid Viking fan, especially of the long ago days of Tommy Kramer, Scott Studwell, Chuck Foreman and so on. You could find many of them at a favorite hang-out, Eddie Websters, dancing and being studly. Many were my buddies and I remember Issac Holt coming over to help me move and teasing him for his "off-season" "little legs". Those were the days, good sports watching! -------------- MISERY IS OPTIONAL SMILES FOR MILES |
