...WHEN IT SNOWS.
1. The fact that everybody runs around like it's the end of time...I mean, God FORBID you have to live without milk for one day.
2. Watching the media present the situation to the public like it IS the end of time and all shall surely face certain death if they venture out.
3. The fact that when you DO venture out, 80% of the people on the roads are driving 6mph.
4. That of this 80%, 70% are driving with their flashers on...like this is going to make ANY difference whatsoever in wether or not somebody slides into them or they slide into the ditch.
5. Really wanting to go pick up a pizza, but not wanting to join the 6mph-flashing-light-idiots on the road to certain death.
6. Getting ready to settle in and work on some things that need doing and realizing that all of the materials I need to do so are on my desk at work.
7. Watching my boys do the 30-minute-wrap-up-to-go-outside-for-10-minute-thing over and over.
8. Watching the mud and water puddle in front of the door each time they do.
9. Stepping in that water with my socks on.
10. Deciding that a big cup of hot chocolate will make it all better and realizing that I don't have any milk.

hmmm...the 6mph thing I have to disagree with here in Ohio. When it snows here it seems to bring out all the idiots that think they can drive faster on a snow and ice covered road than on normal road - especially if they have a 4X4

Luckily in Ireland we never really get extreme weather. A lot of rain but not extreme. (Sigh) Ireland is boring weatherwise!!

try England, nothing but RAIN ALL THE TIME
the one time we did get snow, it took my 5 & 1/2 hour to drive home, a journey which normally takes 45 mins

Since I moved to the south, getting around in snow has taken on a whole new meaning. My personal favorite is also the people who think that four wheel drive constitutes safe passage at high speeds.
