You know, the kind you drink.
Personally I cannot stand coffee, or at least the crap we have at work, so I find myself drinking a couple cups of tea everyday.
I know green tea is awesome for you, with all of its anti-oxidants and what nots. But what about brown teas? Or black? Or any other colour tea that I don't know about for that matter (doesn't tea range from white to black and everything inbetween?).
Anyone have any info on the benifits or health hazards of other teas?

I know that due to the caffine brown and black teas aren't the best, but I have heard that red and white teas are just as good, if not better for you than green tea. White tea is really spendy though, so unless you absolutely LOVE the taste of it I would stick with the green and red...reminds me of Christmas

caffeine is not bad for you unless your consuming mass amounts and not drinking enough water. Just remeber it's a dieuretic, so you have to drink a little extra water. I drink about 2-3 cups of coffee a day, and have had no problems.

Water is not an issue for me. It's just sometimes I want to drink something thats NOT water once in a while. Tea seemed the most health conscious choice.
I enjoy brown teas, mainly because they are sweeter then the other types (though strangley enough have no sugar). I haven't tried a white tea yet, but I may pick some up to try it.

Give white tea a try! Excellent stuff, and even more health promoting than green tea. Much sweeter taste if you don't like the grassy taste of green tea, and less caffine to boot if you have problems with it.

How is the white tea more health promoting than green tea if you don't mind me asking?

White tea isn't rolled or steamed, it is air dried in natural sunlight. This preserves more of its antioxidant properties - about three times as many antioxidant polyphenois as the green tea.
