I know that I have a bit of hard work ahead of me if I want to compete, but I have become very interested in doing so lately. I am right now 17.5% body fat/120 lbs./5'2" and work out about 5 times a week...I know I just a few areas to tighten up...I eat very healthy, but I am just wondering if anyone knows a good way to go about starting to get myself ready for that kind of discipline?

Oh yes, the very first thing is that you need to get informations about when, what and where. Know what sort of athletes you'll be with/against and all the necessairy rules.
After we'll talk about the diet and training...

Many, inculding my wife started with one of the "magazine" contests, like body for life, or the muscletech one. This will give you an idea if you can handle the type of dieting and training that is necessary. I also started out with one of these, and though I did not win, it showed me I could handle the dieting it takes to do this. I have been competing ever since. This may be a good way to ease into it.

Well, I have a male friend of mine who just competed locally in LtWt bodybuilding and he was going to help me with things to get started, but I was just unsure of how strenuous it can get for me.
