I have a problem with stretch marks. I know, you have heard of this problem before...but I am still confused.
I am 19 years old. I went through an eating disorder a couple of years ago..thankfully, I am recovered. But, in result of gaining my weight, I now have huge stretch marks on my inner thighs, the sides of my knees..my arms..etc. The worst is on the inner thighs. I mean, no hyperbole here..it looks as though someone cut me multiple times with a butcher's knife. I admit that in gaining the weight back, I am now a compulsive eater. So, I do need to lose some fat...could the stretch marks at least look less frightening if I toned up and lost just a tad bit? And as far as the health of my skin goes, lets just say that my skin could go into battle with a desert for a dry contest. Could that have something to do with it too? I try to drink a lot of water. In fact, other than milk, that is the only thing I drink.
Is it just a tall tale that stretch marks will forever be there? Or maybe just a half-truth? As in...can I minimize the scary-ness of it all?
Thank you all so very much!
