Hey, i've been doing weights training for about 4 months now and can feel myself getting stronger but not at the rate I would like. You see the gym I attend is always packed and there isn't a great amount of equipment so whenever I am finished one exercise and am ready to start another, I have to wait about 10mins for someone to finish with the equipment I need. So I was just wondering does the time between exercises make much difference. Between sets is fine, its just between exercises that i was wondering about.
If anyone can help it would be much appreciated.

hi noddy, the gym I go is also very crowded. I've learned that most of the guys that go there just attend to socialize or talk with friends, so I just go straight at them and say "can I use the equipment while you rest?" They will hardly say no, because they are either just sitting there or talking.
I try to rest up to 60 - 90 seconds at the most between sets / exercises, and that gives me a pretty good workout.
Hope this helps.

I will usually ask if I can get into thier rotation to use the equipment that I need. This actually works well with many of us at the gym.
