I have always been skinny and slim... i worked out with my boyfriend (who is very muscular) from june-nov and saw little results. I stopped working out over the holidays and now started back up with freetrainers. When can i expect to see results??

What is your goal? What does your diet look like? If your diet and workout regimen is in order, you should see results in about 6 weeks.

You'll get little to no results if you use weights that are to light. You need to exhaust your muscles.

Right on moderator!!! DIET DIET DIET! You are what you eat. Fill out your profile with some goals so we can better help you. You've come to the right place. Ask your boyfriend what he eats and you'll see that it takes a considerable amount of calories to gain lean mass(muscle). Of course I wouldn't advise eating as much as him. LOL

Thanks everyone! Regarding diet... i have always eaten like a bird :-) But when i worked out with my boyfriend i was eating a lot more and got some protein shakes that i drink daily. HAve any suggestions on how to bring up the calories but not fat in my diet?? Also, I have a workout schedule with freetrainers which is pretty intense. I can hardly lift my arms when i leave the gym and my legs are sore for days after working out. My goals are just to tone and build a little muscle. RIght now i weight 109lbs and am 5'4 and weak :-)
