Anybody else finding that sticking to your normal routine during this time of the year is somewhat difficult? With holiday shopping and X-mas parties sticking to a strict diet just hasn't been to easy but you just got to do the best you can at least that's what i've been trying to do...fitting in as many good clean meals as i can before having to go out. I'm waiting for after the new year before i start really tring to loose weight and get back on a stricter diet. Just wondering if i'm the only one......

I find it hard too, but I just do what I can. I just concider holidays as a bulk diet to the extreme. I lift good and heavy do a lil cardio.

Depends on what you want. You know how to eat right. You can go out anywhere, and find the right things to eat. It is kind of like an alcoholic, if you can't say no, there is a problem. I have been training for contests both through Thanksgiving and Christmas in the past, and had no problem.

On the other hand, like Andrew says, if you are bulking, then indulge....still best to say no to the "goodies" if you can. Eat alot of calories, but make them healthy.

i know i pulled off my bulk and now i'm trying to cut a little bit or at maintanance and then i'll cut after the new year. Well this weekend i had a holiday party with work and everything was pre-ordered so we had no choice i didn't mind because i knew i was gonna stray away for a meal i also had quite a few beers but i knew i was gonna had fun and to me thats what counts. But your right as long as you order the good things. Just wondering how everyone else is dealing with it.

I can't even think to eat as I am running around so much I find myself starving, if anything, which is one of the worse things for me for when I DO get to eat, I am famished and tend to overeat so I am having to really watch that.

My diet is borderline at the moment - a little too much wine, the occasional chocolate here and there, and I've not been able to lift for a while because of my back.

I'm going for damage limitation by doing cardio every day, and I hope to get back to the weights soon.

I don't think there's anything wrong with a little undulgence every once in a while. I'm planning to do a bit of walking over Christmas and New Year to compensate (although it's probably adviseable rather than take the car since I'm planning on partaking of a wee refreshment!).
I'm also planning on hitting the gym hard into the New Year so it's not so bad.
