I've been training (I train for mass) and supplementing occassionally for three years and have always received rather contradicting information on how and when to take supplements(which I believe is critical). For example I've heard that glutamine and creatine should not be taken together one day and the next day I hear that they should be taken together for a better effect. I know whey protein is good in the morning, but should creatine and/or glutamine be taken before or after the morning protein? If I take ZMA before bed should I eliminate my glutamine serving before bed? etc...? Please guys help me finally settle all this conflicting information by hearing your thoughts on the subject!

Hi roger, here's what I've learned so far...

You should take your creatine before and/or after your workout depending on your goals... if you are training for mass, then I would suggest taking it before and after...

whey protein's better timing is post workout... you could take it in the morning for slow digesting throughout the day too...

ZMA should be taken pre bed on an empty stomach... I read on some post here that you should wait a little bit more than 30 min after your last meal in order to have an empty stomach and for the ZMA to have a good effect...

As for the glutamine, I don't really know when it will be the best time to take it :(

Hope this helps,

I'm not 100% sure about this, but I think glutamine just about whenver during the day. I personally just throw it in my post work-out shake.
