Supplements can be a great aid with your health and fitness goals. Combined with the proper exercise and nutritional plan they can be quite effective.

I've been tracking my diet during the past week and am having a heck of a time trying to get the numbers up to what FT recommends for me (5'7, 150lbs). C/310,F/25,P/155, calories at least 1800. I am trying to drop that pesky last 10lbs. I've made the switch to egg whites and eat primarily chicken, tuna, 1%cottage cheese and whole wheat products. I'm finding that when I try to get my calories up (I've reached 1500 so far) I inevitably shoot up the fat over 30, so I'm trying protien supplements. I'm already drinking a protien smoothie (low carb, 22g Prot and yummy) that I buy after my workouts at the gym, and am also drinking a protien supplement later in the day (mid day snack). Is this too much supplementing? I work out 6 days a week (2X wt training, 4X cardio) If I don't take the extra supp, I will find it very hard to get up to 1800 cal without over doing it in fat. Any comments, suggestions?

1-. no it is not over supplementing, but avoid it if you can get whole meals: they must be your prior source of nutritient.

2-. what do you eat that makes your fat goes up?

3-. 25?? i think thats kind of low. better get it up for muscle building. and i think that 30g compared to 25 is not much of a deal. if worried, well 5 x9 = 45 cals, just walk a bit mroe and you got them spent.

i dont htink 5 grams of fat will do harm to you, as long as they are good fats, EFA.
