Hi,
I have quite a lot of tyres around my belly and some excess fat all around my body. I heard that the less ur body fat the more muscle is shown. Now i joined a gym recently and dnt know wot to do. Should I first try and loose all my excess fat on the treadmill first and then work on the machines or just machines...or both?
Pls help me
Thanks:big_smile:

I would do both..... Cardio will help burn calories, and weight lifting will help increase your metabolism, so doing both will help you a lot....
Good luck, and Welcome!

check out the programs offered on this site to get going.. and like sbroyhill said, use cardio to cut excess fat, and resistance training to build muscle and increase metabolism. check your diet in addition. maybe record it for a week or two on fitday.com or else through freetrainers program, and see what you are taking in. fill out your nutritional profile to see what your daily levels should be, and check out the nutrition forum with regards to the health eating thumbtack to see where you can get these nutrients from. good luck, and keep us posted

a combination of diet and exercise will get rid of the fat..however, u cannot spot reduce..your body will pick and choose where the fat comes off..just look to your diet and continue to lift and do cardio
