I do two classes a week of salsa and pilates and have 3 cardio and weight training days 1 hour. I've managed to loose 9 lbs, I'm down to 10 stone just 4 lbs to go and I'll be very happy. However is it possible to slim down my arms and still have them toned. I don't see any difference for the weight I've lost in my arms. Is it possible. If so how do I achieve it. Gravity is taking over and I'm wondering if I've left it too late. Helppppppppp!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jeanie

Lift heavier and keep up your workout program. clean up your diet and eventually you will see those tight, toned arm muscles. everyone loses from different areas at different rates - keep up the good work!

Dido. Lifting heavier will tone your arms and will not make you bulk. I personally like to pay attention to my triceps because I think that really defines the arms.

Lifting more for a particular muscle group won't help you lose the fat that you have there. So I guess the question is, are you lacking muscle in your arms or do you have too much fat in your arms. If the answer is the latter, you just have to keep at it. People are genetically coded to lose fat in certain spots in a certain order. Men generally lose it last from their gut; women generally from their hips and thighs. All people lose their fat in a slightly different pattern, however. There's no way to burn fat specifically from your arms. Eventually you'll burn it if you continue to train. If you lack muscle in your arms, than the answer is easy - take the advice that roni and simmer gave you.

Calf raises are good for what you are looking for as well as leg curls.
