Hi,
My name is Elaine and I am new to Free Trainers.com. I had gastric bypass surgery in 2005. I am at my desired weight and do not want to loose any more weight. My problem is this: my arms and legs are so skinny that I am almost ashamed to wear short sleeve shirts or shorts. I have herrington rods in my back and I can't lift heavy weights. I need some muscles bad and I have no idea of how to do it without losing more weight. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Committing to a fit lifestyle that incorporates exercise and eating properly does not necessarily mean that you will lose more weight. First muscle weighs more that fat. Doing weight training is a restructuring of the body.
Strength training should help your problems out. Depending on your level of restriction, you'll need to find ways around your back issues for strength training. And actually strength training could improve over-all condition of your back. I would however consult your doctor first and foremost.
