First i would like to give a little background. Im 6'0" and weigh about 185 lbs. I had been lifting for about a year when i got real lazy and stopped for about 8 months. In the year i lifted i saw some pretty good gains but felt i could have done better. Pretty much just centered on upper body and back/shoulders/arms, no legs. Signed up to this site and have been lifting for about 5 weeks now and havent been happier. I am back to what i was lifting a year ago. But i have read many good posts on proper nutrition. SOme of bb1fits posts have been so good that i think i can attest to most gains just by reading his posts. With just my diet getting cleaned up and my protein intake increases my muscles look better and my stomach is almost at a 4 pack( aiming for a nice 6 though).

On to my trouble spots. First its my legs. I can bench press (210 lbs max, 185 x 6) as much as i can lift with my legs. However my legs arnt small. They have the thick look but are just very weak. I have incorporated squats and lunges into my weekly workout. Will i see gains with these alone or do i need more?

Also, my biceps are not up to what i want. My arm looks pretty good because i work out tricps a lot but my bicep peak is not what i want. I been doing standing 21s for mass and strength. I feel the burn but dont see much gains. PS. I work out and home with dumbells and barbell i dont have a cable machine. Please give me a good 3 set workout to increase biceps. I read so much and there are so many different opions out there. SOrry for the long post. And thank u bbfit1 and all the others out there who post here.

Congrats on your progress. You've made some good gains and they will continue as long as you do. Just an opinion but you're concentrating on small muscles when your gains have been on the big muscle groups. Give it time and those major compound moves will pay off for you. Those isolation moves are nice for a pump once you have something to pump, but it takes awhile to get there. Read more of Ron's posts and you'll see more of the same.

thanks. The gains have been good and now that im starting legs and back exercies i think my overall strength will go up as well. I would like a good bicep routine though. Its pretty much a show muscle but hey i want it and want it as big as possible.
