hi i'm new to this. 126lbs 5'6' but 34% body fat. wide hips and very flabby stomache. i do not want to loose weight just fat. ive changed my diet to more protein, less carbs(only fruits, vegs and wheat bread, and whole grain cereal), no junk food...
i do cardio(eliptical and bike) for 20min 3x a week and weight train on the same day.
my first question is, should i do more cardio?
2. when i weight train, do i do upper body and lower on the same day?
3. how many days do u need to wait until you train the same muscle group again?
4. i can make it to the gym 4x a week, what should i do?
i'm so confused, please help!
thanks

I would definately up the cardio to at minimum 30 minutes. Eating right and weight training will help to reduce fat but IMO intense cardio workouts were the key for my weight loss.
You can mix upper & lower body on the same day, some people like to focus on just lower body on one day( that's what I do). I suggest you sign up for one of the FT programs geared for your goals.
Best to wait 48-72 hrs to re-train a body parrt to give your muscles a chance to heal from the pounding they just took.
Making it to the gym 4x a week should be plenty when following the right program. As I said before, check out a workout program on this website.
Also, fill out your profile. Good luck.

hey nechym I used to weight around 102 kg and lost around 17 kgs in 3 - 4 months... here's what I did...
I started doing cardio 3 or 4 times a week in the mornings, and work out during the evenings (4-5 times a week) the first 3 weeks I trained upper and lower body the same day every day... after that I switched to a different workout: day 1 chest & biceps; day 2: back and triceps; day 3 shoulders & lower body....
This worked for me, I'm not saying it will work for you but maybe it gives you a pretty good idea of what can be achieved if you set your goals

i dont' see hwo u can lose fat with out droping weight thats very hard 1st of all...........abotu ur cardio.......how intense are u going? are u farting around when u do it? or are u out of breath? if u split the cardio and weight traing u can go up to 45 mins 3 or 4 days a week btu don't try to gain tone( muscle) and lose weight at the same time its a pain in the ass, focas one at a time

Yeah, bigandrew is right about cardio. I constantly see people on bikes (or even treadmills) reading magazines. You might as well just go for a stroll, now intensity, no increased heart rate, no weight loss, etc. You should be fairly out of breath (but not gasping for air) after a cardio session for it to have an impact. Remember, your gaol is to get your heart rate up and burn calories !!!!
