I do a lot of physical activity and I am continously sore!!! I have started using glutamine and IT DOES WORK.

My question is : what is a recommeded dosage of glutamine ? can you take too much.. is it alright to take more on days you are super sore!??

You can probably never take too much L-Glutamine. Take as much as you can afford. It is a conditionally essential amino acid. If the pool is low, the body will rob glutamine from the only source it can, the muscles.

Easily done. 5 gr. pre training, 5 gr. post training, 5 gr. mid day, and 5 gr. before bed would be great.

Like bb1 stated, you can't take to much glutamine. In studies, subjects took up to 60 grams/day for extended periods with absolutely no problems.

I personally would take the same amount (I do now) When you are not training, you are recovering and these are optimal times to place the good proteins, fats, carbs into your thirsty muscles. Don't shy away from supplementation on off days.

The only people who should avoid to much glutamine are diabetics. Our bodys do not process it properly due to impaired insulin function. And can cause a buildup in the eyes of glutamic acid which can help speed up the blindness we can some day face.

The pill form is nowhere near as effective as the powder. You would have to take about 10 pills to equal 1 tsp. of glutamine which is typically 5 grams. Definately go for the powder form.
