I did my first body blast class on Sunday. It is now Tuesday and my arms are still really sore. Is it ok for me to work on my arms while they are sore? Also on another thread someone mentioned something about drying a muscle. The question was about losing muscle mass. What is drying?
Thanks!

no, you shouldn't practice with sore muscles, stretch them to losen them up but you shouldn't be lifting or working out much when you have sore muscles

Give yourself time to recover.
Drying muscles is another techic to get less muscle mass but keep the strength.

Nina - I thought I was pretty familiar with most techniques but that term is new to me. I did the search but your previous posts didn't elaborate a lot. Would you mind satisfying my curiousity?
Thanks

Well Mike I don't know if you actually use the same word in English; to dry the muscle.....
Anyway what you are doing is exhausting the muscle fibres (and breaking down the hypertrophie).
I'll explain. For ex, when having too big muscles in the legs (which is rare since the big size often isn't muscles but fat!) you want to shape down your legs but keep the strength. The program will take at least 6 weeks and you'll have to use the press machine three times a week, 4-5 sets of 20 reps. Moderate weight (but you need to feel it work). The most important thing if being able to dry the muscle or not is the rest in between the sets. 30 secs.
I used this when I was a fencer and I lost almost two inches around each thigh (I would like those inches to come back today!!! lol)
Okey? This is just an example. You got lots of other diff ways of doing it.
