I recently bought a treadmill for home use. My main goal in purchasing the equipment is weight loss and toning. I was wondering what a good routine each day would be to achieve these goals. Thank You

do a search for the HITT program - do that every other cardio workout then do a 45 minute walking or jogging for the others. I would add dumbbells next I got a set that is adjustable & I think that is the best thing I every brought - jumprope is another good cardio for mixing it up some-------------- Reddy All people smile in the same language |

the treadmill kills me. I can't do anything more than walk on it. I don't know why but I CANNOT LET GO OF THE HANDLES when it is going faster than like 4.5, lol.
How do I fix that? |

haha... I suppose I can just run while holding on to the handles but then I feel like a total idiot if anyone else comes into the room...

Just walk fast, you don't have to run to get the HR up.
Put up the incline and go at about 3.5mph without holding on. You wil be progressing in no time. Include intervals. Hope this helps. -------------- If you can dream it, if you can imagine it, then you can be it, you can do it. If it is meaningful enough, and you commit the energy of your passion, you will. Gosh, I hold on to the handles...is that a gym "look at that dork" thing or does it just help to move the arms around?-------------- Veda MISERY IS OPTIONAL ***When you are up to your ears in trouble, try using the part that is not submerged. ***The difference between a dream and a goal is a plan. Holding on is a form of cheating. But if you were 80 years old, I would recomend holding on.-------------- If you can dream it, if you can imagine it, then you can be it, you can do it. I have recently purchased the ABRAIL system and i heard it was not useful, however I do have a treadmill. What is your advise as to what to use. I want to be in shape, I want to be able to run without not being to breath.
