I was wondering if I could build my triceps up by doing wide grip bench press?

I believe the further in you go with your hands, the more you work your tri's, therefore the further out you go, the less you work them.

Firehawk is right. The closer your hands are, the more it works your triceps. Close-grip bench with an EZ curl bar is excellent for developing your triceps.

Both are correct, and conversley tricep developement will greatly help your bench!

Absolutely. I have found that the heavier and stronger I get with weighted dips and overhead extensions, the heavier and stronger I am on my bench. Plus big triceps make your arms look huge.

just be careful when you work triceps and chest on the same day...especially if you work triceps hard and do bench press after... i did that once, all was well untill. woop. triceps fail without notice cause they're fatigued...uh oh, bench bar stuck on my chest, cant push it up....no one around, had to wait for someone to come by so i could say " excuse me, you mind giving me a hand?" lol

I would try reverse grip bench presses all so these are a mass maker a good tricep developer.
