This is my first time on an on-line help forum. Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself a little bit.
I am 38 years old and in the millitary, I have been fighting the scale for the last 5-8 years and I am sick and tired of it. I just found out that I have bad knees and can't run.(hear in lies my problem) I know there is no magic pill or potion to make my weight problem go away just need some help hope this is the right place. So hello and see you in the chat rooms.

Hey there! Welcome to FT. Your bad knees are nothing to sweat about. There is plenty of fantastic cardio/interval training workouts that are super gentle on the knees. Swimming for example, great workout, no stress on the joints (you're practically weightless for goodness sake) you can get a great workout, and you won't feel like you're heart's about to explode because you're working out in a lying position (more or less) which takes the stress off your heart. Recumbant bikes and elliptical machines are also great low impact options.
