Welcome to freetrainers, Laurie-anne.

Ask your doctor if there are any restrictions for an exercise program when you have IBS.

Welcome! I hope you achieve your goal! I've always been on the slim side and weight is difficult for me to gain so I know it will be a process that will not be fast as losing weight is a process and will not be fast. I resist weighing myself on a daily basis. Once every 2 weeks is my goal so we are kinda in the same boat. Just resist weighing too often and don't expect too much too soon. It will come off.

brown...Correct me if I'm wrong but IBS = Irratable Bowel Syndrome?

Odd's are if you start eating a clean/whole food diet in order to lose weight then IBS will inevitably dissapear as your body has an easier time digesting natural foods over processed stuff that subsequently will pack the lbs on. I had periodic problems with this until I started eating better and then they all went away.

Good luck and keep us posted on your progress.
