I've been doing quite a bit of weight training for the last 4 weeks. I've cut out all simple carbs and replaced them with complex carbs, increased veggies, started using protein shakes, eating lots more protein than normal and I have still yet to see results.

Ex from yesterday:

Breakfast
1 c oatmeal
Protein shake with blueberries and milk

1 apple

1 can tuna
1 c salad
1 c polenta
1 oz low fat cheese

1 Protein shake

1 large salad with chicken

Workout:
30 min weight training (legs and lower body)

4 weeks really isn't that long in the grand scheme of things. Think of how long most people eat unhealthy food and don't excercise to get their bodies to the way they are.

Goals are great to have, and are even better once you reach them. But make it a lifestyle change. Don't do it just for short term gains, or they won't last.

kolbygirl, are you weighing yourself or measuring yourself? I have been only at this for almost 2 weeks, not too successful on the food front (not horrible either). However, in one week over all (meaning not in one place) I've lost 2 inches. My husband lost even more, something like 4 (he's a big guy & better at dieting). However, when I weighed myself I've only lost like 1 lb and I'm sure it's was water.
