Hey all - just had a baby and looking forward to shedding baby fat and getting back into shape. I miss the old me! But I've got a beautiful baby boy here, so I'm not complaining too much. I've been on the South Beach diet for about a month. Lost a couple of pounds, but I don't think I'm following it as strictly as I should be. Any success stories out there with this diet? All advice welcome!

Welcome to ft and congratulations on the baby! If you work at it that baby fat will come off. It has served its purpose and your body is through with it. You just have to help it along with willpower, and dedication. I don't know much about the SB diet but I have followed a restrictive carb diet (Protein Power) before. I lost alot of weight FAST. That diet was incompatible with my lifestyle so I had to give it up (I gained it all back). I have looked into the SB diet and if I had to restrict carbs that's the way I would go. Several members here have had success. Do a search on fit buddy at the bottom of the page. Remember- a diet, any diet, has to help you work toward your goals AND be something you can live with. Be sure to incorporate some exercise along with your diet. Good Luck on your fitness goals.
