Hey room, Ive got a few questions that maybe someone can answer.
1. Im trying to tone up everything in general. I used to work out when I was in high school and college, but at that time I was building mass and toning. Now I just want to lose my gut and not get bigger muscles...just tone the ones that I know are there. Also I want to lose the excess fat that reside on my arms, and lower back, and sides, so that when I tone it will look alot better. What workout should I do, the general progressiv or the toning/lose fat one? Also is is a good idea to isolate the triceps and biceps, are should I do them both on the same day? Thanks for the help

You can't target fat loss, its a whole body thing. You've got to get a nutrician plan that supports your fat loss goals as your first priority. Next is an exercist plan involving cardio and weight training. Once again, you'll need a whole body plan. You don't have anything in your profile, so its hard to make specific suggestions. Age, height, current weight, sex are a minimum.

I've been doing supersets and they have really made my arms grow. If I was trying to tone up my arms I would do low weight with high reps. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 12-15. On reps you may even go a little higher. But, if you want to lose weight you have do cardio. At least 3-4 times a week 20-30minutes each time. For the stomach cardio is the only way to get rid that layer of fat. When doing stomach workouts use resistance. Good luck

I would opt for the toning/lose fat one, since this is your stated goal. Remember, you can work out forever, if your diet isn't adequate for your goals, you will not change much. Nutrition is 80 % or more of the game.
-------------- The one goal you will NEVER achieve is the one you never attempt.
