Sure - just keep track of your total fat intake. They make a no-fat but it tastes like s&*^%. A little basalmic vinegar and dill does it for me.

I use none-fat mayo and dill relish. I think the no-fat is actually ok. The tuna is pretty stong and kinda overpowers whatever you mix in with it anyway.

Yeah but you're a Marine Lisa and you can handle that no fat taste, has to be better than MRE's. :)

Mike--Just about everything is better than MRE's, I will agree. I don't like everything that is fat free-- but I am starting to develop a liking to no fat milk as well. The no fat butter is the one thing I don't think I will ever enjoy though.

Just listening to you talk about MRE's brings back vivid memories about those things...yuck!!!

Nonfat milk doesn't taste anywhere near milk. I personally drink the lowfat (2%) variety. About the only nonfat food I can probably stomach at this point is cottage cheese.

Anyway, J, lowfat mayo is okay. I use it occasionally myself.

I don't know what you guys are talking about - I LIKED the MREs!! Especially the BBQ beef (it's been 10 years, I know they changed the menus around and supposedly they made them better)... of course, I never touched the hot dogs, but the turkey and gravy, chicken pot pie, they were GOOD! :-)

BTW: I don't mind the flavor of fat free mayo either, tastes the same to me... I guess my taste buds are slightly different than the rest of the world ;)

Mazzgolf, you guys must've gotten the "gourmet" MRE version. Ours were leftovers from WWII...LOL!

I agree with Mazz, I can't taste a difference in fat free mayo. I also like fat free milk though... The only fat free item I have found that is absolutely horrid is fat free Sour Cream.

MRE's rock. It was fun seeing what you could come up with, and trading with people. However, I didn't like having tobasco dumped in my mouth when I passed out on the bus!

Y'all are crazy. MRE's are nasty except for a few--- high in fat too. I only eat them when I have to and I try to take tuna to the field with me when I go. Although the four-fingers-of-death (hotdogs) aren't too bad heated and mixed with tabasco. Ischjli--- that would probably make for a horrible reveille huh?

You should try the tuna that comes in a bag by Starkist....You can eat it plain, RIGHT OUTTA DA BAG, it is sooo good! Also if you are making a tuna sandwich you can add some lemon, mustard no fat mayo to it and its yummmmy....or if you prefer to eat it without any bread add some BBQ sauce, or Tomatoe sauce!

Is your weight increasing since working out, dont forget muscle weighs more than fat. Carbs can make a difference two dont eat more carbs than needed, and not late in the day. Do you have a program with ft yet?

Also, if you eat too little fat, your body starts holding on to the fat you have even more so that it can survive.
