I thought that I was eating pretty descent until I went into the Nutritional Tracker and entered a few examples of what I have been eating on a daily basis. Oh my goodness what a shock! Man, have I been way off. I thought I wasnt getting enough calories, and actually, I was getting too much. Not enough protein and carbs, too much fat, and calories. What an eye-opener. You can bet that from now on, I will be eating right. Cant say enough good stuff about this site. Thanks guys.

Yes it takes a while to put everything in the nutritional tracker but once done, you'll learn tons that you never realized about the way that you eat.
Also "harmless" snacking can run up VERY fast.

Not to put down the nutritional tracker here, but it really seems time consuming to look up & enter the stuff. I do wonder how realistic some of the recommendations are for nutrition though. My profile says I shouold opnly have 41g of fat/day. that does seem reallistic in a diet prescribing over 3000 calories.

Also, there is another nutritiona calculator that you might find easier if all you want is data. Try nutritiondata.com. The look-up feature are much faster, mainly b/c you can just enter the food without having to determine things like (is this a vegetable or a side-dish).

<ahem> That DOESN'T seem realistic. Sorry.
