Protein -
130 g .. maximum 10% variance is acceptable
Carbohydrates -
325 g .. maximum 10% variance is acceptable
Fats -
25 g .. maximum 10% variance is acceptable
Total Calories -
2020
1. So, I can exceed the first three as long as the total calories are under 2020 right?
2. Or do I have to keep under all four categories?
3. My food is usually decided ahead of time and we eat the same thing as a family, so I was wondering, if I only eat breakfast, lunch and supper with no snacks in between should that be good enough?

If you exceed the first three you will automatically excced the last category
Roughly, protein and carbs have 4 calories per gram and fat has 9, so:
130g protein x 4 = 520 cals
325g carbs x 4 = 1300 cals
25g fats x 9 = 225 cals
____
TOTAL 2045 cals
In answer to your third question, it is better if you can to eat 5 or 6 small meals a day. If this is not possible then at least have a snack between meals to stop your metabolism slowing down.

I just looked at your profile, if you are wanting to gain mass, 2000 calories seems a bit low?

Sorry, I'm done that temporarily, I need to cut and update my profile :-P

If you are trying to cut, start by reducing your calories by 200-250 per day. This will not be a shock to your body, your workouts will not suffer, and you will not suffer a large muscle loss right off the bat. Too many folks make a large calorie cut to start, and this will result in an immediate muscle loss.

This is my first time changing my eating habits, I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing or my previous calorie rate.
On a scale of 0 to 5, I was told to only eat until I was a 3 or 4, never a five, then once my stomach rumbled I should eat again. Is this good? plz reply asap i need to know by tommorow.

I've found that stomach rumbling depends on what my body is used to, not what it requires - so if my body is used to getting food every 5 hours, it won't start rumbling until 5 hours is up - which is really too long to be leaving it. Regardless of whether you want to gain weight or lose weight (and I'm still not sure which it is can you spell it out for me please :)) you should be eating every 3 hours approx.

I want to not lose weight, just reduce the flab on my tummy. Every three hours? OK. Anything else?
