Would it be safe to say that unlimited amounts of veggies are okay? I get the munchies sitting at my desk during the day and lately have been eating carrots, broccoli, etc. I'm sure it beats chips and cookies, but it will hinder my diet plan if I'm trying to stay under 1200 cals a day?

It shouldn't, but why only 1200 calories a day? Are you close to 120 or 85lbs? What is your height? you should be at around 1500 if your 120.

I think eating a lot of veggies will be safe for you. They are fairly low in calories, and the fiber is great for you.

Carri..I think you may have misread your package. The one I am looking at says 38 calories for 3 oz of baby carrots. Thats 10 carrots, which is a whole lot more than 3.

Well, I don't know what exactly my body needed out of those carrots, but I cleared an entire bag yesterday. I feel like a different person today! Yea for carrots! I just want to make sure that eating a TON of veggies won't throw my diet out of whack. I'd rather eat ice cream if it will mess it all up anyway...he he!

Much closer to 120 (5'2") right now...that's the reason for 1200 cals a day. I know this doesn't sound like too much, but it all sits on my lower body, so I appear much heavier than my actual weight. I've been toning up a lot, so losing weight, per say, isn't my main concern, but I do need to incorporate a better diet in order to eliminate this horrible, jiggly layer of fat that has accumulated. It's only temporary until I lose at least a few pounds. I've been trying to eat little bits throughout the day to maintain metabolism as recommended. I noticed on my carrots package, there are about 30 calories in about 3 little ones. That's why I'm nervous.
